The specialist is required to have a high level of computer proficiency and is often expected to be able to work with different operating systems to be able to manage data entry and processing on any platform.

The ISFOL (Institute for the Development of Professional Training for Workers) survey and the Forecast of Sectoral and Employment Trends (FGB) of January 2016 for the "office equipment clerks" category indicate that the professional category of "data entry operator" has shown a growth trend over the period 2014-2018. This means a significant increase in hiring by companies is expected.

To improve employability, an exam is required to obtain the EIPASS certification for the modules covered in this training plan. Students will take the exam at no cost to themselves at the implementing body, IDEE INSIEME Soc. Coop Soc., accredited as an EI CENTER (an authorized examination center for issuing EIPASS IT certifications). Those who pass the exam will receive the relevant certification.

Objectives of the training intervention:

The course's objective is to train highly specialized professionals capable of using the most popular desktop applications to ensure efficient information processing through data entry onto computer media. This specific professional will be expected to manage and maintain computer environments and ensure network and data security.

In data management by companies, two distinct phases can be identified: the entry of raw data into the system and the subsequent organization and extraction of information from the database containing it.

The specific figure of the data entry operator deals with the first of these two phases, using the traditional method, which involves the manual entry of data obtained from paper documents.

Data entry operators typically require technical skills, primarily the ability to work with computer terminals to ensure accurate data processing. However, the skills acquired in this course will allow data entry operators to move beyond the initial phase and be able to process data, whether textual or accounting and financial.

Basic knowledge of using a mouse, keyboard, and the Windows operating system is required. No knowledge of specific data processing programs is required.
