"Nuove Frontiere Lavoro", in collaboration with the training body "Idee Insieme" and thanks to the "Formatemp" fund, publishes a Receptionist course in English with Trinity College London exam level B1 • ISE •

Among the professions indicated by ISFOL, the figure of the is indicatedReceptionistThis role welcomes and registers guests at facilities; provides accommodation services; assigns rooms and hands out keys; provides information on the services offered; manages reservations and check-in and check-out procedures, keeps track of available rooms; and performs guest check-out procedures, preparing the relevant documentation. ISFOL identifies the need for foreign languages ​​as one of the main areas for professional development expressed by companies and, for the period 2015-2019, forecasts a 12,0% increase in employment for the aforementioned macro-area, a figure above the average growth for the period (2,5%). To promote better employability on the job market, the exam is planned Integrated Skills in English (ISE I – CEFR Level B1 – for the assessment of speaking, listening and writing skills Speaking & Listening + Reading & Writing), which the students, at no cost to them, will carry out at the implementing body IDEAS TOGETHER (Trinity College Center Accredited) with native speaker examiners Trinity.

Ultimately, it will be the same Trinity College London (TCL) to issue a certificate of competence to those who pass the exam. Trinity College London is an international English language certification body recognized by MIUR pursuant to the decrees of 7 March 2012, prot. 3889 and 12 July 2012, prot. 10899. All Trinity English language exams are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) from levels pre A1 to C2, using the specific Manual published by the Council of Europe www.coe.int/t/dg4/linguistic/Manuel1_EN.asp

Goals: The course aims to provide the language skills needed for professionals in the hospitality industry, following a guideline compliant with that outlined by ISFOL. Upon completion of the course, students will be able to manage English-speaking clients, acquiring the following skills:

” customer reception
” analysis and identification of customer needs
” booking management
” receiving and sorting telephone calls
” filling out forms and documents
”compilation of attendance registers
” customer complaint management
” access control to accommodation facilities
” control and custody of customer documents
” taking care of the room assignment
” provide information or assistance to the customer

Students will practice listening, comprehension, and production of texts. Multimedia tools will be used in the classroom.

DURATION: 172 HOURS from September 09th to November 06th 2019 – the classroom day will be 4 hours long except for three 8-hour days.

CLASSROOM LESSONS: Monday to Friday from 09.30 am to 13.30 pm and for THREE days also from 14.00 pm to 18.00 pm.

CERTIFICATE: of frequency Formatemp (minimum 70% of total hours including attendance at mandatory lessons) which gives access to the exam test ISE I – CEFR Level B1 - TCL to be held at the Idee Insieme headquarters;

CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCE: of Trinity CL, for those who pass the exam;

EXAM COMPLETION REQUIREMENT: on the date set at the end of the course;

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: the course is aimed at candidates for temporary work missions (both employed and unemployed) registered and selected by the Employment Agency;
- BASIC knowledge of the English language, even if NOT certified;
- For foreigners, knowledge of the Italian language and grammar, even if NOT certified;

SELECTION METHOD: Access to the course will take place through several preliminary steps:
- Correct submission of the required documentation;
- Analysis of the CV submitted;
- Motivational and skills evaluation interview level BASE to be carried out at our office;

SELECTIONS: Those who have joined will be contacted by email for confirmation. (By 05/09/2019 at 5:00 PM) of the on-site interview scheduled for 06/09/2019 from 09.00 to approximately 17.00;

PRICE: Both the course and the certification exam are free (financed by Formatemp);

PROFESSOR: The teacher chosen for the course, a graduate, in addition to having teaching experience in English language courses, is certified AIM AWARDS-ANGLIA – recognized by MIUR – level Advanced Business English (B2).

EXERCISES AND SIMULATIONS

Using grammatical and syntax rules, participants will practice developing the four essential skills:

READING: understand public communications; read short factual texts and show understanding of the content; demonstrate understanding of language structure.

WRITING: Use words appropriately and accurately in different written contexts and be able to produce variations on simple sentences.

LISTENING: understanding the meaning of the dialogue by listening to short statements in order to extract factual information (times, dates, etc.), showing appreciation for the speakers' attitudes and intentions.

SPEAKING: interacting in situations that simulate authentic communication to ask and understand questions and give appropriate answers; speaking freely to express emotions, reactions, etc.; greeting people and responding to greetings (in person and on the phone); introducing oneself; asking for and providing personal details; helping others express their ideas by interrupting a conversation; starting a new topic, changing the subject, resuming or continuing the topic.
