"Nuove Frontiere Lavoro", in collaboration with the training organization "Idee Insieme" and thanks to the "Formatemp" fund, publishes a free course of "Tourism and Hospitality Worker in English level b2" in presence
The course aims to provide the English language skills appropriate to the professional figure of the Tourism and Hospitality Officer which can pursue both activities related to travel agencies for both the reception area following a line consistent with the one traced from INAPP (formerly ISFOL).
It is a course aimed at acquiring skills linguistic skills in English (B2) for the tourism and hospitality sector, capable of providing practical examples thanks to a careful structuring of the teaching modules.
The modules that distinguish the course offer content related to the following topics:
- knowledge of the English language for the acquisition of the four essential skills (SPEAKING, WRITING, LISTENING, READING) through the rules of grammar, syntax and phonetics appropriate to achieving the level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference;
- acquisition of skills related to the figure of the Tourism and Hospitality Officer and more specifically, in written, face-to-face, and telephone communication with English-speaking clients. This includes particular attention to specific terminology, greeting methods, and general contact management.
The level identified is B2 which is recognized by the European Framework CEFR (https://www.coe.int/en/web/common-european-framework-reference-languages/reference-level-descriptions)
TARGETS: The course aims to provide the appropriate language skills for professionals in the tourism and hospitality sector, following a guideline in line with that outlined by ISFOL.
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- Improve and broaden your knowledge of the key elements of written and spoken English in order to carry out activities related to travel agencies and the hospitality sector in general.

The above is preparatory to another objective, that is, to achieve knowledge of the English language at the level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference, in the four essential skills (SPEAKING, WRITING, LISTENING, READING) through the exploration of rules of grammar, syntax and phonetics appropriate to reaching the indicated level.
In particular, they must be able to develop and apply their knowledge in the following communication skills and functions:
Reading skills:
- understand and reflect on the content of specific texts relating to the specific field of tourism and tourism promotion;
- identify and interpret rhetorical figures;
Listening skills:
- understand the main points and some detailed information of oral presentations on tourism topics;
- understand global content and locate detailed information in communications in specialized contexts.
Oral interaction and production:
- explain the main points of an idea with reasonable precision, assessing situations, expressing opinions on a range of tourism topics, using appropriate industry language and, if necessary, persuasive language;
- prepare and deliver an oral presentation, highlighting key points and supporting information;
- know how to argue in English;
- be able to indicate the advantages and disadvantages of a situation.
Writing skills:
- write a text using language appropriate to the tourist context;
Students will have to practice listening, understanding and producing texts.
Multimedia tools will be used in the classroom.
In order to ensure the most suitable preparation for the professional figure, each student will be guaranteed the acquisition of a lexicon (repertoire of words) linked to the context of reference.
To this end, in order to promote better employability on the job market and in competitions, the exam is foreseen GRADED EXAMINATIONS IN SPOKEN ENGLISH [(GESE Grade 7 - CEFR level B2.1 for the assessment of speaking and listening skills)] which students, at no cost to them, will carry out at the implementing body IDEE INSIEME (Trinity London Center Accredited TLC) with native speaker examiners from TrinityThe TLC itself will issue a certificate of competence to those who pass the exam.
The TLC It is an international English language certification body recognized by the MIUR pursuant to the decrees of 7 March 2012, prot. 3889 and 12 July 2012, prot. 10899. All Trinity English language exams are aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) from levels pre-A1 to C2.

CERTIFICATE: of frequency Formattemp (minimum 70% of total hours including attendance at mandatory lessons);
CERTIFICATE OF COMPETENCE: of Trinity College London, for those who pass the exam;

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: the course is aimed at candidates for temporary work missions (both unemployed and jobless) registered and selected by the Employment Agency;
- for foreigners, knowledge of the Italian language and grammar, even if NOT certified;
- good knowledge of the English language at least level B1;
SELECTION METHODAccess to the course will take place through several preliminary steps:
- Correct submission of the required documentation;
- Analysis of the CV submitted;
