“Nuove Frontiere Lavoro”, in collaboration with the training organization “Idee Insieme” and thanks to the “Formatemp” fund, is publishing a course in “Polishing Operator in the Automotive Sector” in person with the aid of laboratory classrooms.
The course aims to provide the skills required for a professional in the specified sector. It begins with a description of the entire production process, with information on each phase, so that polishing can be placed within the process itself.
The course then delves into the polishing process, describing the materials used and providing an overview of the treatable surfaces. It then analyzes, step by step, the correct procedure for achieving the desired shine, as well as the qualitative compliance of the finished product.
In addition to the above-mentioned topics, the course also includes the acquisition of transversal skills, such as teamwork, communication between colleagues and with clients, and time management.
The specific contents are those relating to the polishing activity, namely:
- analysis of the entire production process and, for each of them, the input and output specifications
- analysis and identification of the machinery used (sanding machine)
- overview of treatable surfaces
- surface analysis, identification of scratches or defects
- Identifying the most appropriate polishing procedure to increase the gloss of the paint and maintain its shine over time.
- result to be guaranteed
- use and techniques related to the machinery used
- quality control and packaging activities
- practical exercise (use of the machine by the student under the supervision of the teacher for direct intervention on the painted surfaces)
TARGETS: The course aims to develop a professional polisher, specifically for the automotive sector, capable of managing the entire polishing process, including quality control and packaging. This includes:
- know the entire production process
- analyze the surface to be polished
- know the polishing techniques
- use the polishing machine through specific techniques
- evaluate the final result
- intervene with corrective actions in case of non-compliance with the final result
- take care of packing the polished piece
- apply the most appropriate techniques for working in a group, managing time and knowing how to communicate
Students will practice with precise and appropriate equipment for polishing activities.
