"Nuove Frontiere Lavoro," in collaboration with the training organization "Idee Insieme" and the Italian Water Rescue Federation (FISA), is launching an in-person course for "Lifeguard with Sea, Lake, and Pool Certification."

The course, in collaboration with the Italian Water Rescue Federation (FISA), aims to develop the knowledge and skills required to be a lifeguard. It also prepares participants for the FISA certification exam, which qualifies them for surveillance and rescue services not only in swimming pools and water parks, but also in marine and lake environments. Participation in the exam is free.

CERTIFICATION AND TRAINING BODY: FISA (Italian Water Rescue Federation)

PRICE: Both the course and the exam to obtain the license are free (financed by Formatemp);

DURATION: 144 hours of the day 18 November 2024 per day 01 APRIL 2025 – days of CLASSROOM four hours of theoretical part in attendance; days of POOL PRACTICE from an hour; days of SEA PRACTICE for six hours);

CERTIFICATE: attendance (minimum 70% of total hours including attendance at compulsory lessons);

CLASSROOM LESSONS: from Monday al Friday at specific times as per calendar;

COURSE LOCATION: via Santa Brigida 51, Naples;

SEA AND POOL PRACTICE LOCATIONS: at suitable facilities in Naples and the province;

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: Candidates for temporary work assignments (both unemployed and jobseekers) registered and selected by the Employment Agency:

- for foreigners, knowledge of the Italian language and grammar, even if NOT certified

The course is aimed at those who aspire to achieve the FISA patent nationally recognized.

It is also necessary

- Know how to swim;

- Healthy and robust constitution, to be verified by means of a non-competitive sports medical certificate to be presented after the selection tests and strictly before the start of the course;

- Age not less than 16 and not more than 60;

- Not having received final criminal convictions for non-negligent crimes involving prison sentences exceeding one year or penalties involving disqualification from holding public office for more than one year;

- Possession of adequate aquatic skills and swimming ability.

SELECTION METHOD: THEaccess to the course It includes a selection test in order to choose those who demonstrate the greatest aquatic and swimming skills;

Le selection tests will take place in a suitable swimming pool. Access to the swimming pool is freeCandidates will be contacted by telephone and informed of the selection dates.

EXAM TESTS:

- ORAL EXAM;

- PRACTICAL TESTS IN THE WATER (can be carried out in either a swimming pool or in open water)

- ROWING TEST;

- FIRST AID AND BLS TEST;

EXAMINATION COMMISSION:

- an Officer of the Port Authority Corps, of a rank not lower than Lieutenant, designated by the Head of the Maritime Department competent for the territory, with the role of President;

- the FISA provincial delegate Lifeguard Master;

- a doctor (with the requirements set out in circular no. 59 of 2010, issued by the General Command of the Port Authorities);

- a non-commissioned officer of the Port Authority Corps with a rank no lower than Chief Third Class, with the function of secretary.

Note To obtain the qualification, it is necessary to pass all the exam tests.

  1. The professional profile of lifeguards and rescuers in Italy, Europe, and around the world.
  2. Knowledge of the Navigation Code, the implementing regulations, and industry regulations for recreational boating.
  3. Basic anatomy and physiology for artificial respiration and first aid for fractures, wounds, and burns.
  4. Technical theory and artificial respiration, resuscitation and first aid for asphyxiated patients - BLS.
  5. Practice of various artificial respiration systems.
  6. Theory, technique and practice of swimming, including with fins, for aquatic rescue purposes.
  7. Technical theory and practice of swimming rescue.
  8. Technical theory and practice of rescue with boats and auxiliary means.
  9. Elements of meteorology.
  10. Elements of ecology.
