Free online English B1 course for office receptionists Distance learning Free Formattemp

"Nuove Frontiere Lavoro", in collaboration with the training organization "Idee Insieme" and thanks to the "Formatemp" fund, is publishing a free course in "Secretarial Assistant with Commercial Functions in English, level B1" on an online platform.

The course aims to provide the English language skills appropriate to the professional role of English-speaking Secretarial Assistant with Commercial Functions, following a line in line with that outlined by INAPP (formerly ISFOL).

The modules that distinguish the course offer content related to the following topics:

  • knowledge of the English language for the acquisition of the four essential skills (SPEAKING, WRITING, LISTENING, READING) through the rules of grammar, syntax and phonetics consistent with achieving level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference;
  • acquisition of skills relating to the roles of secretarial staff and more specifically in written communication, de visu, as well as by telephone with English-speaking customers and suppliers. All this with particular reference to specific terminology, welcome formulas and in general to the management of the interlocutor as the simplest (provide information about the company you belong to, request information) to the more complex one (request quotes, propose offers, etc.).

OBJECTIVES: To train professionals who, in English, can communicate effectively with English-speaking customers and suppliers externally. Specifically, the program aims to equip them with the skills to: provide information about their company; propose goods and services; request quotes; and manage orders.

From this perspective, the above-mentioned objective expresses English language skills in managing telephone and in-person communications, as well as in drafting business letters considering the type of information that must be provided.

The above is preparatory to the achievement of another objective, that is, to achieve knowledge of the English language at level B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages , in the four essential skills (SPEAKING, WRITING, LISTENING, READING) through the exploration of grammatical, syntax and phonetic rules appropriate to reaching the indicated level.
