"Nuove Frontiere Lavoro", in collaboration with the training organization "Idee Insieme" and thanks to the "Formatemp" fund, is publishing an "Editorial Graphics with Illustrator" course on an online platform.
The course aims to teach basic and advanced techniques for creating and implementing editorial projects for both the typographic and digital worlds.
Through the acquisition of the theoretical aspects of visual communication, "case studies" will be proposed, used to understand the main and advanced tools of Adobe Illustrator, focusing on both the creative aspects of the subject and the design techniques for successful final publication.
Graphic designers are typically employed within large corporations, advertising agencies, or graphic design studios. They must possess a strong understanding of communication and the visual arts, as well as integrated graphic composition techniques, as well as an innate creativity.
Specifically, the course aims to train students through theoretical lessons, the imitation of existing professional artifacts, the development of tailor-made briefs, and the creation of materials that can be used to create a future personal portfolio.
TARGET:
At the end of the course the student will be able to:
- Develop your creativity in graphic design.
- Navigate all the tools and features of Adobe Illustrator.
- Professionally design any type of editorial proposal.
- Apply visual communication and graphic design techniques to each project.
- Manage any work request: create a brief, set a price, draw up a work contract and define the processing and delivery steps.
Specifically, students will have acquired the ability to:
- Study and analyze a brief provided by the customer.
- Create a brief if one has not been provided.
- Define the goals of a project, study the target audience and examine the competition;
- Analyze and identify the strengths of the editorial project;
- Synthesizing an idea with graphic design.
- Create graphic layouts from scratch.
- Design and create a logo.
- Design and create a Visual Identity
- Use creativity to design diverse graphic compositions.
- Design and create basic communication products
- Design and create merchandising
- Design and create brochures and flyers.
- Create vector illustrations.
- Design and produce advertising posters.
- Design and create packaging
- Create infographics and informational materials.
- Be independent in using the software.

DURATION: 140 hours of the day 21 October al 06 December 2024 - 33 total days of virtual classroom of 4 hours and one day of eight hours;
CERTIFICATE: attendance (min. 70% of total hours)
VIRTUAL CLASSROOM LESSONS: the lessons are from Monday to Friday from 14.00 18.00;

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: the course is aimed at candidates for temporary work assignments (both unemployed and out of work) registered and selected by the Employment Agency;
- for foreigners, knowledge of the Italian language and grammar, even if NOT certified;
- you need a desktop PC, laptop, or tablet with a stable wired (LAN) or Wi-Fi connection, a webcam, and a microphone.
SELECTION METHOD: Access to the course will take place through several preliminary steps:
- Correct submission of the required documentation;
- Analysis of the CV submitted;
- Check the connection devices to be carried out in videoconference;
SELECTIONS: Those who have joined will be contacted by email to confirm (by 17/10/2024 at 6:00 PM) the verification of videoconference connection devices scheduled for 18/10/2024 from 10:30 AM, in a group.
REGISTRATION: Those selected will be contacted by email and telephone (by 10:18.00 PM on November 18, 2024) to attend the first day of the course on November 21, 2024, at 10:14.00 AM on the online platform after sending the entry link.

Editorial graphics with Adobe Illustrator
- Introduction to Adobe Illustrator: raster graphics and vector graphics, create a new document, tool panels, define and customize the workspace.
- The basic tools of Adobe Illustrator: selection and direct selection, selecting objects and anchor points, geometric shape tools, pen, pencil, scissors and eraser tools, free transform and rotate tools, main keyboard shortcuts.
- Transform, align, and arrange objects: transform objects, align objects, and arrange them in space.
- Color Management: RGB, CMYK, Lab, HSB and HEX color modes, transparency blending space, how to color objects and text, gradients, transparent gradients, freehand gradients, the swatches panel, 100k black, “rich” black, “registration” black, Pantone colors, color palettes.
- The track and the paths: What is a path, the Path panel, using Bézier curves, changing the corners of a shape, converting text to paths, the Pathfinder panel.
- Images and external files: importing and resizing an image, masks, import options, wrapping text around an image or vector shape, how to manage links, Photoshop basics.
- The effects: recall effects, transparency, drop and inner shadow, outer and inner glow, bevel and emboss, basic and directional blur, gradient blur.
- Guides and levels: How to use guides, the Create Guides function, how to use layers, layers to organize the worksheet.
- Texts, paragraphs, tables and tabulations: the text field, changing the shape of a text field, editing text, paragraph, justification, hyphenation and creating columns, linking text boxes, text on a path, special characters.
- The Brushes: Using brushes, creating and editing brushes, brush libraries, calligraphy brushes, scatter brushes, art brushes, pattern brushes
- Geometric grids: Building grids, creating shapes with grids, creating patterns, and managing patterns.
- The advanced tools: the shape creation tool, the warp tools, the texture tool and applying texture to objects, blends.
- The 3D tools: Creating 3D objects, planes, extrusion, revolution, and inflation. Lighting and shadows, materials, and rendering.
- The effects: Warp effects, distortion and transformation effects, illustration effects, the appearance panel and related capabilities. The image tracing panel. Live painting.
- Experiments: Gradients and the mesh tool, use 3D for building advanced vector objects, mesh and advanced vector objects.
- Exports and production of PDFs: Export files with specific extensions, study and production of professional high-resolution PDFs.
