"Nuove Frontiere Lavoro", in collaboration with the training organization "Idee Insieme" and thanks to the "Formatemp" fund, is publishing an "Editorial Graphics with Illustrator and InDesign" course on an online platform.
With the advent of the web and new technologies, a variety of editorial design tools have emerged, enabling the development of new publishing concepts. These have found an ideal fit with online publishing, which has allowed anyone to create their own online magazine, publish their own e-book, or editorial project, and, at times, even develop original print concepts.
This led to the emergence of genre publications that required the ability to develop ideas with specific software. A new professional profile was thus created: the editorial graphic designer or graphic designer for the development of graphics for publishing.
Editorial graphics It's the process of creating a layout that's attractive, but above all functional, clear, unique, and at the same time legible. It has a significant impact on the way information is written.
The editorial designer works on the magazine or book until it's delivered to the printer. They communicate with clients, publishers, IT technicians, and printers, ensuring the product reaches the printer perfectly. The editorial designer's work isn't limited to just thinking and coordinating; they must also utilize technical skills to ensure everything is perfect.
Knowledge of some programs, such as Adobe Indesign e Adobe Illustrator It's essential. But so is a thorough knowledge of various topics, such as different layout methods, fillers, or Roman pages.
TARGETS: The course aims to provide the elements for creating any editorial product: from business cards to brochures, from flyers to informational leaflets, a leaflet, a sticker, a photo album, rather than a catalog or a book.
At the end of the course the Editorial Graphic Designer will be able to:
- Learn Illustrator and Indesign tools at a professional level by teaching the fundamentals useful for producing graphic and advertising material;
- Create editorial products of all kinds: from the production of flyers and brochures to the creation of a company catalog;
- Create a logo design up to the creation of the coordinated image;
Furthermore, students will be able to use the software independently and professionally to complete even complex projects.
Students will have to practice creating layouts and drawings that will be assigned from time to time by the teacher.

DURATION: 160 hours Since the day September 6th to November 3rd, 2023 - 40 total days of virtual classroom for 4 hours;
CERTIFICATE: attendance (min. 70% of total hours)
VIRTUAL CLASSROOM LESSONS: the lessons are from Monday to Friday from 14.00am to 18.00pm

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: the course is aimed at candidates for temporary work missions (both unemployed and jobless) registered and selected by the Employment Agency;
- for foreigners, knowledge of the Italian language and grammar, even if NOT certified;
- you need to have a desktop PC (desktop), laptop or tablet with stable cable connection (HIND) or wi-fi, webcam and microphone.
SELECTION METHOD: Access to the course will take place through several preliminary steps:
- Correct submission of the required documentation;
- Analysis of the CV submitted;
- Check the connection devices to be carried out in videoconference;
SELECTIONS: Those who have joined will be contacted by email for confirmation. (by 01/09/2023 at 12:00) of the verification of videoconferencing connection devices scheduled for the day 04/09/2023 from 10.30 am, in a group.

Post-production: using Adobe Illustrator
- Introduction to Illustrator and vector graphics;
- The work area, rulers and guides;
- Tools, color management and paper formats;
- Palettes, paths and Bézier curves, path editing and clipping masks;
- Working with text, text tool, changing text tool parameters, effects, filters, styles and appearance panel;
- Paths and vector drawing, tracing an image, gradients, live tracing and live painting, perspective tool;
- Drawing boards, creating, editing and working with patterns;
- Graph management, 3D effect management, file saving and exporting.
EXERCISES AND SIMULATIONS
Using the theoretical rules learned, participants will have to demonstrate in the virtual classroom that they understand and comprehend how to use the software and generate a paper that will be used in the next module.

- Import Illustrator and PDF files, manage Photoshop images and clipping paths;
- Interactivity, PDF export for printing, e-book export.
EXERCISES AND SIMULATIONS
Development and finalization of a project, from concept to the creation of a company logo, from business cards to coordinated flyers and brochures. From customizing promotional items and packaging to creating a coordinated company catalog.
