The course aims to train a figure capable of interacting within a small or medium-sized company in the administrative and accounting management of companies.

The administration and accounting clerk is responsible for recording accounting and non-accounting transactions within the company. He or she also interfaces with and coordinates all administrative functions, from contacting suppliers to coordinating relationships with the company's various professionals.

Learning outcomesThe goal of the training program is to develop professionals capable of identifying the key elements of a company and its organization; understanding and applying all the components of general accounting (VAT, corporate taxation, double-entry bookkeeping, etc.).

DURATION: 152 HOURS from February 05th to April 11th 2019; 4-hour classroom days.

CERTIFICATE: attendance (min. 70% of total hours)

CLASSROOM LESSONS: Tuesday to Thursday from 13.30pm to 17.30pm.

The company and its organization – the figure of the entrepreneur

  • Constituent elements;
  • Operation and classification of companies;
  • The purpose of the company;
  • Economic entities and legal entities;
  • Operations, Interaction with people.

Types of companies and legal entities

  • Incorporation of a company, basic elements of corporate law;
  • Company contracts, incorporation of joint stock companies, shareholder agreements;
  • Obligations between members, meeting methods and functioning;
  • Responsibilities of the administrative body, functioning and obligations of the supervisory body;
  • Statutory amendments, procedures for capital increases and decreases;
  • Group exercise: creation of concept maps and discussion in plenary.

Accounting and the double-entry method

  • Recording rules, the journal entry, and recording banking transactions. Differences between ordinary accounting and cost accounting. Objectives of accounting, accounting information system.
  • Basic assumptions and accounting principles. Accounts, the economic and financial variation system, accounting application regimes, mandatory records, VAT regulations. The principle of relevance, issuing invoices, managing intra- and extra-EU procedures, turnover, adjustments and additions, balance sheet composition in accordance with the Fourth EEC Directive.
  • Individual exercise: opening balance sheet accounts, allocating them to ledgers, summarizing with closing and balancing the financial statement.
  • Practice with accounting software.

Management control

  • What is management control? Control systems, the traditional budget, budget functions, decision hierarchy, budget preparation and use, variance analysis, and just-in-time correction.
  • Individual exercise: preparation of an operating budget, variance analysis, preparation of a report for the management bodies.
