The temporary employment agency "Adecco", in collaboration with the training organization "Adecco Formazione" in partnership with "Idee Insieme soc.coop.soc." and thanks to the "Formatemp" fund, publishes a free Advertising Photography course.
Advertising photographers are generally employed within large corporations, advertising agencies, or graphic design studios. Advertising photographers must have expertise in photographic techniques and knowledge of the visual arts, as well as an innate creative spirit.
The course's goal is to train highly specialized professionals capable of successfully completing an advertising photography project from the initial concept to print. Photographers must therefore possess advanced knowledge of professional photography, the ability to source materials, set up and manage a photo shoot, and develop an image through to the completion of the advertising project.
At the end of the course the advertising photographer will be able to:
- Apply the fundamental techniques of advertising photography and photographic development;
- Set up and manage a photographic set;
- Create an advertising image.
Specifically, students will have acquired the ability to:
- filming people and environments;
- realize still life of products to be marketed;
- create product images for e-commerce;
- plan an advertising campaign, create its images, identify the claim
- post-produce the images created;
- prepare files for successful printing;
- know the regulations for the protection of privacy and copyright of images;
- identify the right compensation for the work performed;
- photograph objects made of different materials (glass, reflective objects, metals);
- analyze and identify the strengths of an advertising image;
- convey the advertising message unambiguously to the identified target.

DURATION: 108 hours from September 28th to November 06th 2020 - 27 total days of virtual classroom;

CLASSROOM LESSONS VIRTUAL: the lessons are from Monday on Friday from 09.30am to 13.30pm;

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: the course is aimed at candidates for temporary work missions (both unemployed and jobless) registered and selected by the Employment Agency;
- you need to have a desktop PC (desktop), laptop or tablet with stable cable connection (HIND) or wi-fi, webcam and microphone.
SELECTION METHOD: Access to the course will take place through several preliminary steps:
- Correct submission of the required documentation;
- Analysis of the CV submitted;
- Check the connection devices to be carried out in videoconference;
SELECTIONS: Those who have joined will be contacted by email for confirmation. (by 21/09/2020 at 12:00) of the verification of videoconferencing connection devices scheduled for the day 22/ 09 / 2020 from 10.00, in a group.

EXERCISES AND SIMULATIONS
Using the theoretical rules learned, participants will have to demonstrate in the virtual classroom that they understand and comprehend:
- MACHINE SETTING: using the “manual” mode will allow students to set the right settings for each type of brightness and scene;
- CHOOSING THE CORRECT LENS: depending on the scene, you will acquire the ability to identify the right lens for taking the shot;
- EXPOSURE: by using the internal and possibly external exposure meter, students will therefore be able to avoid underexposure and overexposure;
- FOCUSING: Choosing between manual focus or autofocus will allow you to learn how to always get sharp subjects.
- TAKING PHOTOGRAPHS: Once students have learned the basic techniques, they will independently take original photographs outside of class hours, which will be analyzed in the next module.

Image development, finalization of the advertising project
- Verification and analysis of photographs taken by students;
- Development of the photographic project and drafting of a storyboard in order to define the communication objectives;
- Image processing before and after the advent of digital;
- Differences between Raw and JPEG files. The digital negative: from the "raw" file to the image ready for processing in Photoshop;
- Exercise in the development of Raw files;
- Getting Started with Photoshop. Managing the Interface;
- Adobe Photoshop CC tool basics. Image adjustments;
- An in-depth look at advanced Photoshop usage. Features introduced in the latest versions, detailed image editing;
- The various selection tools. The various techniques starting from pre-production;
- Skin retouching skills, from rapid image enhancement to more accurate and precise skin correction techniques. Considerations for choosing the right technique;
- Practice skin retouching using frequency separation and dodge and burn;
- Color to black and white conversion methodology; from Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw to dedicated plugins;
- Correct color through color balances;
- Final exercise. Clarifications on the post-producer's role;
- Compensation evaluation.
