"Nuove Frontiere Lavoro," in collaboration with the training organization "Idee Insieme," is publishing a "Dining Room and Bar Service Assistant" course, funded by the Forma.Temp fund.
The course aims to provide the skills relating to the ROOM SERVICE OPERATOR (Waiter, i.e. the person responsible for setting the tables according to the choices and directives of the establishment in which he works, who is responsible for welcoming the customer, illustrating the menu, noting and communicating the order and serving the tables) - and the BAR SERVICE OPERATOR who is responsible, based on the requests received, for the preparation of drinks and simple hot and cold snacks, also taking care of their aesthetic appearance, and serving them at the counter. The units of competence indicated refer to the expected results relating to the ADA (23.01.05 - Preparation of snacks and drinks and 23.01.08 - Room set-up and table services) , to the sequence (definition of the offer and supervision of the catering service, preparation of food and drinks and packaging of pre-cooked or raw foods and Room set-up and serving of dishes and drinks), to the process (Catering services) and to the SEP (23-Tourist services) of the Atlas of Work.
The course is held at the Pizzeria di Idee Insieme laboratory located in via Ferrante Imparato, 192 - San Giovanni a Teduccio (Na) within the Malvagni structure (part of Centro Mercato 2) with equipment and tools necessary for an efficient implementation of the training course.
The training program combines skills related to the ROOM SERVICE OPERATORS ( waiters), who are responsible for setting tables according to the choices and guidelines of the establishment where they work, and who are responsible for welcoming customers, explaining the menu, recording and communicating orders, and serving the tables. The training program also focuses on the BAR SERVICE OPERATORS , who are responsible for preparing drinks and simple hot and cold snacks based on requests, including ensuring their aesthetics, and serving them at the bar.

The student will achieve the following objectives:
• Serve customers, based on requests received, preparing coffee products, drinks, cocktails and simple dishes.
• Place orders based on pre-established order criteria, also preparing orders based on customer requests
• Serve at the table, respecting the instructions received, optimising times and assisting customers
• Tidy up the room, based on the instructions received, carrying out the tidying up, cleaning and set-up activities

DURATION: 138 hours from 22 SEPTEMBER to 24 NOVEMBER 2026 – 28 5-hour IN- PERSON days
CERTIFICATE: attendance of at least 70% of the total project hours and/or achievement of the defined objectives. Additionally, for recipients without training credits, attendance of at least 90% of the "General Health and Safety" module and at least 70% of the "Rights and Responsibilities of Temporary Workers" module;
CLASSROOM LESSONS: Tuesday to Thursday from 09.00 am to 14.00 pm at Via Ferrante Imparato, 192 – Naples easily reachable by Circumvesuviana or car/motorbike;

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS: The course is aimed at temporary work candidates (both unemployed and out of work) registered and selected by the Employment Agency;
- for foreigners, knowledge of the Italian language and grammar, even if NOT certified;

Rights and duties of temporary workers
It deals with the principle of equal economic and regulatory treatment with respect to the employees of the user company, the rules of the contract with the Employment Agency (ApL) and the obligations of diligence, obedience and safety at work.
